Royal Caribbean Cruises Explore....
DINE THE WAY YOU WANT?
WHY NOT?
Always an industry leader
when it comes to innovations at sea, Royal Caribbean International has made
dining is tastier--an more accommodating--than ever. The cruise line is now
serving a full menu of flexible culinary programs that make obsolete the
rigid rules about when, where and with whom to dine.
These days, even kids get to ask the question: Why not have meals the way we want them?
Well, why not?
My Time Dining
Just like dining at your favoirte restaurant back home, My Time Dining allows you to enjoy the fine quality, charming ambiance and friendly service of dinner in the ship's main dining room, while reserving the perfect seating times (variable by ship). To ensure prompt service, reservations for each evening are strongly encouraged and can be made once you board.
Guests may be asked to take a table with other diners in order to be seated more quickly (and why not take the opportunity to make some new friends?). Guests choosing My Time Dining are seated in the main dining room, order from the traditional dinner menu, and enjoy the same Gold Anchor Service as those choosing set dining times and tables. To keep service smooth, no additional guests are seated at a table once dinner service has begun.
My Family Time Dining
One of many creative family programs onboard, this expedited 45-minute dinner experience is offered during the first seating in the main dining room. Young cruisers--ages 3 to 11, who are enrolled in the Adventure Ocean program get to enjoy a quick meal with their parents before heading back to their activities, while their parents relax and finish their meal at leisure.
Dine-In Delights
In addition to complimentary breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus, fun name-brand food options are also available, including The Original Johnny Rockets hamburger; Elis Cheesecake Companys Original Cheesecake; Ben & Jerrys Half-Baked and Cherry Garcia ice cream bars; and Ghirardelli Chocolate Chip Cookie (with milk, of course). Selections vary by ship, but these tasty additions are available 24 hours a day for an additional room-service charge.
Special Treatment
It's easy to feel special at one of Royal Caribbean's specialty restaurants, whether savoring the premium cuts of quality meats at Chops Grille, Royal Caribbeans signature steakhouse; experiencing the intimate Italian fare and atmosphere at Portofino; or enjoying one of the many other specialty venues, which differ from ship to ship and come with additional service charges.
The newest member of the fleet, Oasis of the Seas, makes dining as vast and varied as the ship itself; exclusive dinner at contemporary 150 Central Park; lunch or dinner at the trattoria Giovannis Table; a la carte lunch and dinner at Vintages (already popular on Voyager- and Freedom- class ships); an expanded Chops Grille concept, alfresco or with views of Central Park; sushi and hot rock cooking at Izumi; casual lunch and dinner for cover charges at the Seafood Shack and Johnny Rockets; and tasty yet healthful fare from the Vitality program in the Solarium Bistro (open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and dancing, with a cover charge for dinner only).
Why Not.....
....have dessert first?
Who wouldnt trade in a salad for warm chocolate cake--at least once?
....get fresh at lunch?
Salad is salad, but the Tutti Salad is something else. Offered at lunchtime
in the main dining room, this new Royal Caribbean dining concept gives guests
a wide choice of ingredients from which to choose, including varied lettuces,
traditional antipasto offerings, prosciutto, grilled chicken breast, shrimp,
cheeses, breads, dressings, and much more. Its prepared to order within
minutes and has been a huge hit with those in the know.
....eat healthy and tasty?
Why choose one or the other? They both go together in Royal
Caribbeans Vitality options, which offer delicious dishes prepared
more healthfully. Just look for the Vitality symbol.
