Alabama's 'golf trail' adding new golf course and resort in June

The Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail in Alabama, which now has 21 courses in eight locations, is now an even bigger attraction to travelling golfers. This is due to the opening of a new course and The Legends at Capitol Hill Conference and Golf Resort.

Located just minutes away from the capital city of Montgomery, Capitol Hill’s newest addition, the Judge (opening in June), will round out the award-winning 54-hole golf complex. Two Capitol Hill courses recently received honors from GOLF Magazine. The Senator was ranked among the top 10 new public courses in the country and the Legislator received honorable mention.

The Legends at Capitol Hill Conference and Golf Resort, set to open in August, will compliment the state's finest golf in a setting surrounded by 1,600 acres of lush woods with dramatic views of the Alabama River. The Legends has all of the makings to rank as one of the Southeast's top golf resorts.

Designed by the masterful Robert Trent Jones, each of these three courses has its own unique challenge--from a Scottish links-style layout to an open course to a long and challenging championship course.
